With eight smaller brushless motors and a much improved carbon fibre design, we managed to increase the power to weight ratio even more. Developing our own braking system allowed us to push the acceleration phase to a new limit.

With the competition being one month earlier than last year, the schedule was incredibly tight. To better prepare for the competition, we additionally built a 300m test track at our campus!

 


Pod II Overview

Technical Details


Smaller, lighter and much, much faster. With a mass of only 85kg and an acceleration of 0.9g, it reached a top speed of 324 km/h and won the second Hyperloop Pod competition, establishing a new speed record for Hyperloop prototypes.

Our second prototype reached a top speed of 324 km/h. A speed record in the prototype hyperloop tube that was only broken by SpaceX itself a few days after the competition.
